The heavily trafficked area is transformed into an aesthetic and sustainable urban space, which is highly biodiverse, climate adaptable and encourages a strong sense of community. The proposal contains a set of flexible strategies, typologies and solutions (the green belt, the loop, the loggias, the pocket parks, the rooftop gardens) with the aim to inspire, engage and create incentives for leading a climate- smart lifestyle. Particularly, the strategies aim to redress the balance between people and cars in order to build enjoyable public spaces on a human scale.
